Sculptural Chrome Sconce, Italy 20th Century
A sculptural Italian wall sconce with a rectangular chrome backplate, from which two intertwined, cylindrical arms extend. Each arm curves outwards at different lengths and supports one bulb. It turns on with a small circular knob on the lower left hand corner. We’ve never seen anything quite like this piece, but it reminds us of designs by Aldo Nason. Unmarked. Sourced in Italy, 20th Century.
DIMENSIONS: 11"W x 23.5"H x 6”D; Backplate: 1"D
CONDITION: Great vintage condition. Minor wear and marks to the metal backplate is consistent with age and use. This sconce was professionally rewired for U.S. use. Accepts two candelabra bulbs.
