De Sede DS-1025 Terrazza Sofa in Cognac Suede by Ubald Klug, 1970s
Ubald Klug presented his design for the “Terrazza” sofa to De Sede in 1972 based on inspiration he found in the terraced fields of the Alps and the organic formations of sand.
Perhaps his most notable piece, this multi-tiered modular sofa composed of seven graduated leather-wrapped cushions set on a rectangular base. Inspired by terraced hills of The Alps this sofa has proven to be an icon of 1970s design. Many celebrities and musicians of the era, most notably Mick Jagger, were photographed lounging on the Terrazza. This Terrazza retains it’s original cognac suede upholstery. Unmarked.
