French Iron + Leather Sling Chair with Neck Pillow, 1960s
A 1960s French accent chair sculpted in iron and saddle-stitched leather, its silhouette recalling the work of Jean-Pierre Ryckaert. The sling seat, richly patinated, cascades into a gentle arc—anchored by a low-slung neck pillow and twin saddle flaps that nod to equestrian design.
The iron frame, darkened by time, is defined by a three-leg structure and gently curved stretcher. Sculptural enough to stand alone, but especially striking beside a fireplace or layered into a collected corner with books, textiles, and low lighting.
