This 1960s Italian lounge chair echoes the style of Osvaldo Borsani. Its generously proportioned form is defined by clean lines and an angular silhouette, capturing the essence of mid-century modernism. The chair is grounded by cylindrical black metal back legs and splayed front legs with brass sabots. Reupholstery recommended; we have elected to sell this chair with its original ivory upholstery so the end user can select preferred fabric. Osvaldo Borsani (1911–1985) was an Italian designer and architect born into a family of fine furniture makers. He studied fine arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan before pursuing architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. In 1943, he designed his own house in Varedo, Villa Borsani, which has since been preserved and now serves as an archive of his work.

To prepare for delivery, please be available during the scheduled window to provide a signature upon receipt. Ensure there is a clear path for the delivery team to navigate to the desired room. Our delivery team cannot move existing furniture within your home.
