The texture gives the piece a crystalline presence—solid yet constantly shifting as light moves across the form. Even unlit, the glass carries depth and movement, revealing the hand of the maker in every irregular contour.

A brass mount anchors the composition, introducing warmth against the cool clarity of the glass. The contrast is characteristic of mid-century Venetian design, where material richness was balanced with a studied sense of proportion.

Its scale allows the lamp to inhabit spaces quietly. On a bedside table, it creates a low atmospheric glow. In a library or sitting room, it functions almost as an illuminated object, bringing texture and reflection into the room without demanding attention.

Sold and priced individually.

The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art.

For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier & Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0740/0135/0967/files/UbiebLpG2jJz59oXMNKs-LVlQ4xdsCs427papCmu_1I.jpg?v=1792697715
https://thesouthlooploft.com/products/italian-rostrato-murano-glass-table-lamp-attributed-to-barovier-toso-1940s-2-available
