Spanish Brutalist Sideboard in Sandblasted Oak, 1940s
Monolithic yet intricately crafted, this 1940s Spanish sideboard embodies the raw poetics of Brutalism in solid, sandblasted oak. Its facade is a rhythmic composition of deeply carved geometric panels—each door a sculptural relief that highlights the wood's grain.
The four hinged doors open to reveal shelved interiors, with original iron hardware and escutcheons left intact. Generously proportioned and resting on a sturdy base with a stretcher bar for added stability, it grounds a room with its natural warmth and monumental presence. Two elegant keys accompany the sideboard.
