An earlier edition of the Alvar and Aino Aalto Tea Trolled for Artek. Using new technology to bend birch wood, the dynamic design duo created a heritage piece that has stood the test of time and for which the couple is famous for. This early model is in Birch wood; composed of two birch lamella loops, two shelves, a solid birth handle and the larger scaled wheels are both eye-catching; with a rubber tread. Manufactured in Finland, 1950’s. The Aalto’s were inspired by British tea culture they encountered in their travels as well as Japanese woodwork and architecture.

CONDITION: Structurally Sound. This cart does roll smoothly and can be easily maneuvered The white face of the wheels have obvious signs of wear from time; the wood has patina and light wear from time.
