A striking pair of Italian mirrored side tables attributed to Luigi Massoni for Gallotti & Radice in the 1980s. These modern side tables feature round pedestal bases and central columns composed of thick cut mirror glass in a captivating aqua hue. The mirror glass captures and refracts light, creating a mesmerizing interplay of reflections. Facet cut, circular glass tabletops are affixed to the frames. Unmarked. Italy, 1980s.
Luigi Massoni (1930-2013) was a prolific Italian Postwar designer who worked as an architect, designer, freelance journalist and consultant. He trained at the Collettivo di Architettura in Milan and worked with iconic Italian brands such as Poltrona Frau, the Guzzini group and Alessi. Massoni was the editor and director of Marmo Tecnica Architettura from 1956-1963. He founded a magazine called Mobile Italiano and later Mobilia, an Italian furniture and design association.
DIMENSIONS: 23.5”W x 23.5”D x 19.75”H
CONDITION: Great overall vintage condition. Very minor oxidation along the base and seams of the mirror glass. The tops are not removable.
