A 4-piece ‘Novemila’ sofa designed by Tito Agnoli in 1969 and produced by Arflex. The ‘Novemila’ is modular and can be arranged in a variety of configurations. This rare version is composed of four curved corner sections, which together create a circle. It was freshly reupholstered in a plush gray Great Plains striated velvet and stands on circular black acrylic feet. We can picture this statement piece in a hotel, restaurant or a dramatic entryway. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1970s.

Tito Agnoli (1931-2012) was an Italian architect and designer who specialized in industrial design. After graduating with a degree in architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 1949, he worked as an assistant to Gio Ponti and Carlo de Carli. From the 1950s-70s he designed primarily lighting and furniture for an array of companies including Arflex, Cinova, Oluce, Poltrona Frau and Schiffini.
