An Italian Sedia Alta chair designed by Mario Ceroli for Poltronova in 1972. This sculptural chair was carved from beautifully grained fir wood and features a dramatically high curved seat back and an angular cube base with demilune cutout details. Imprinted ‘Ceroli Poltronova’ on the lower left base of the chair.

This chair is documented in G. Gramigna, Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950 - 1980, Mondadori, 1985, page 363.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. Minor wear to the wood frame includes marks, scuffs and areas of discoloration, which are concentrated on the lower back legs.
