Set of 6 'MR10' Chrome + Cane Dining Chairs by Mies van der Rohe for Gavina Knoll, Italy 1970s
Set of 6 Mid-Century Modern chrome and cane ‘MR10’ dining chairs designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Gavina Knoll in the 1970s. The "MR10" is one of the most iconic furniture designs of the 20th Century, introduced for the first time in 1927 at the Die Wohnung exhibition in Stuttgart. These chairs feature tubular chrome-plated steel frames that gracefully curve to form seamless seats and backrests covered in cane. The tightly woven, honey hued caning contrasts beautifully to the smooth, fluid frames and adds an element of texture. Italy, 1970s.
