Brutalist Wrought Iron Console by Jean Jacques Argueyrolles, France 1990s

$9,200.00

A brutalist French patinated wrought iron console table designed by Jean Jacques Argueyrolles (1954-). This sculptural console has a rectangular tabletop with four iron legs and an arched base. It has painted gold accents and features geometric details signature to Argueyrolles’ iconic style. We love the porous finish and textured nature of this unique piece sourced in France, 1990s.

Jean-Jacques Argueyrolles was born in 1954 near Paris. He works on bronze, stone, iron and wood and designs furniture lines (minimalist-baroque) while creating sculptures and monumental sculptures. He considers Dali, Tapiès and Moore as his art masters. But Argueyrolles considers himself as an « autodidact » (self-made man), which also explains his atypical artwork.

PERIOD: 1990s

MATERIALS: Bronze,Metal

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. Some slight wear to the patina on the top surface, largely absorbed by the overall aesthetic of the table.
