A ‘Finale 1790’ dining table designed by Peter Draenert. This exquisite table was constructed with polished red travertine and features stunning veining in a range of red and orange hues. It has a 1” thick round top with a bullnose edge which sits on a sculptural, cylindrical base. This unique table was produced in an extremely small quantity in Germany in the 1970s. Sourced from a villa in Turin, Italy.

Peter Draenert (1937-2005) was a German furniture designer and businessman. In 1968, he started his own furniture manufacturing company in Friedrichshafen, with a focus on unusual materials such as steel and natural stone. Movement was behind all of Draenert’s designs, implementing extension mechanisms, height contrasts and uncommon proportions. His work is displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London amongst others.
