Pair of Italian Blue Mohair Lounge Chairs by ISA Bergamo, 1950s
A pair of curvaceous lounge chairs by Italian manufacturer ISA Bergamo. Characterized by gracefully curved lines and low seats, these chairs were carefully reupholstered by our team of local artisans in robin’s egg blue mohair that is soft to the touch. These chairs stand on tapered, patinated brass legs.
Founded in the late 1940s in Ponte San Pietro, ISA Bergamo, or Industria Salotti e Arredamenti, has been instrumental in shaping Italian design. This small commune on the outskirts of Bergamo became a creative hub where renowned designers like Gio Ponti and Ico Parisi entrusted their visionary ideas to ISA Bergamo for realization. This collaboration not only fueled the company’s evolution but also left a profound impact on the landscape of Italian craftsmanship
