A 1960s Italian bedside table designed by Claudio Salocchi for Sormani. Architectural in form, the table is elevated on a central pedestal base that branches into four splayed feet for stability. The case is crafted in wood and veneered in richly toned rosewood, its surface marked by warm, linear grain and subtle natural variation.
The upper compartment features an open-front shelf framed by angled side walls that rise slightly at the back, creating a functional space for books or small objects. The pedestal’s angular lines play against the stepped contours of the cross-form base, a detail that reflects Salocchi’s thoughtful approach to proportion.
