Italian Mirror + Glass 'Blok' Dining Table by Nanda Vigo for Acerbis, 1970s

Designed by Nanda Vigo for Acerbis in the 1970s, the 'Blok' dining or center table exemplifies the designer’s mastery of light, reflection, and geometric purity. The table features a square glass top that appears to float above its mirrored base, a cube-like structure that plays with depth and perception.

Nanda Vigo (1936–2020) was an Italian artist, designer, and architect who pioneered a number of innovative techniques within modern and contemporary art. Her more recent designs have focused on sensory impulses, utilizing materials such as glass, mirrors, and neon lights. Throughout her career, Vigo collaborated with many famous Italian designers and artists including Gio Ponti, Lucio Fontana, and Piero Manzoni; she is also featured in multiple iterations of the Triennale di Milano, as well as the Venice Biennale.
