Jindřich Halabala (1903–1978) was a prominent Czech designer and architect, best known for his innovative contributions to modern furniture design during the mid-20th century. His work, often associated with the functionalism and Art Deco movements, blended practicality with elegance and craftsmanship. Halabala's designs, such as the H-410 armchair, are characterized by organic, flowing lines, sculptural forms, and the inventive use of materials like bentwood, leather, and fabric. His pieces became emblematic of Czech modernism, particularly in the interwar and post-WWII periods.

Halabala worked for the Czechoslovak furniture company UP (Upright Furniture Factory), where he created timeless designs that emphasized both comfort and style.
