Guillaine Querrien (1959–) is a Spanish-born artist whose practice spans painting, engraving, and drawing. Her work explores a range of techniques and formats, allowing her to experiment with contrasts—whether through black and white versus color, or the physical relationship between the medium and its surface.
Her compositions often depict intricate tangles of vines, trunks, roots, and petals, intertwining in organic, almost rhythmic patterns that verge on abstraction. Now based between Paris and Rio de Janeiro, Querrien has exhibited widely in France, Brazil, and the United States.
