A sculptural 1950s Italian lounge chair, attributed to Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti Italia. Its softly contoured silhouette rests upon black-lacquered metal frame, angular and poised. This chair has been freshly reupholstered in Holly Hunt's sumptuous Cloud Nine Velvet in Amber.
Fabric Details:
Cloud Nine is a performance polyester velvet with the look and feel of silk, meeting the practical and aesthetic needs of both residential and contract environments, with a slight sheen to the yarns. This velvet pile is 100% Polyacrylic with a ground composition of 100% Polyester. It is bleach cleanable. 75,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs.

Bozzi’s designs for Saporiti, such as his signature lounge chairs, are celebrated for their striking yet minimalist forms, characterized by dynamic, curved lines and slender, often black-lacquered metal frames.
One of Bozzi's most iconic pieces from this collaboration is the "Kosmos" chair, which exemplifies his approach: sculpted to cradle the body while resting lightly on metal frames, creating an almost floating appearance. This chair, and others like it, represented a departure from the bulkier furniture styles of the time, instead focusing on lightness and ergonomic comfort.
