SHIPPING POLICY

SHIPPING & HANDLING South Loop Loft is pleased to provide National + International White Glove Shipping as well as local deliveries to the surrounding Chicago land area. 

WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY South Loop Loft contracts Third Party Delivery Providers for White Glove Delivery services, with furniture delivery time to most locations within the contiguous states of 10 - 20 business days, but in some circumstances up to 4 weeks. White Glove Delivery includes delivering the item to the designated place within the home and removal of all debris. This does not include moving other furniture within the home; clients are fully responsible to have the space ready for delivery.

White glove delivery includes a one to two-man delivery team, in-home placement in the room of your choosing, and removal of any packaging. Most furniture and oversized items will be delivered to your room of choice. For ease of delivery, please ensure the space is prepped for placement of your order prior to delivery. Please note, our white glove delivery service does not include the removal of any existing furniture. Additional fees may apply for items that must be moved up flight of stairs. 

Clients should note that White Glove Delivery providers will not rearrange other furniture in the home + will not removed furniture from the home. 

Please be sure to check your building's insurance requirements prior to placing your order. If we are unable to meet the full requirements upon delivery, furniture items will only be deliverable to the front doorstep. South Loop Loft  makes every effort to offer white glove delivery in most instances; however, it is not a guarantee. Items that cannot be delivered due to lack of correct paperwork for the building; will be the responsibility of the Purchaser. Additional fees incurred to reschedule the delivery become the responsibility of the Purchaser. Buildings with unusually high COI requirements may require the item to be shipped with a different carrier; which may incur additional shipping charges, which are the responsibility of the Purchaser. South Loop Loft is not responsible for additional shipping charges that may be incurred after purchase; due to the nature or location of the delivery, Special COI requirements, rural area locations; and particularly heavy or special objects. 

By Completing A Purchase through South Loop Loft you acknowledge that responsibility of your purchase transfers to the Third Party delivery provider of your choice at the time of pickup.  Items left with South Loop Loft over 30 Calendar days from the purchase, without confirmation from the client, become the property of South Loop Loft, with no credits or refunds issued.  

If the customer chooses to manage their own freight and delivery, South Loop Loft must be notified of the specific details, including an email releasing the items to the Clients Carrier of choice. If a customer selects their own freight carrier, freight claims must be filed directly with the selected carrier. South Loop Loft is not responsible for a customer’s own or third party freight damage and claim.

Products are inspected by our Showroom prior to release to ensure that the order is in good condition, complete, and ready for shipment. Carriers must pickup within the weekday business hours of South Loop Loft, which are Monday through Friday 10am - 6pm. We cannot accommodate Third Party pickups on weekends and after hours. 

The carrier is responsible for a complete inspection of the products at the point of origin. Any damage must be noted on the BOL. The signed BOL is confirmation by the carrier that they have accepted responsibility for delivering the products in the condition in which they were received. Inspection of the boxed or crated products are limited to the exterior of the packages. Exceptions must be noted and the packages opened at once if the condition of the cartons or crates appear compromised.

All Items must be inspected within 48 hours of delivery. If issues arise regarding damage during shipment or other concerns, please contact our showroom within 48 hours of the delivery and include detailed photos. All liability of the shipments passes to the Third Party Shipper at the time of pickup from South Loop Loft; South Loop Loft is not liable for any damage incurred at the time or place of delivery. 

 DELIVERY SERVICES

If you purchase Delivery Services, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your decisions relating to the Delivery Services. Either you or someone else 18 years of age or older authorized by you must be present at all times during the performance of the Delivery Services. You are responsible for inspecting the Delivery Services and signing any applicable forms and document required by us, or our providers of the Delivery Services. If you are not present during the performance of Delivery Services, the adult present must be authorized by you to inspect the Delivery Services and sign any required forms on your behalf. You are responsible for designating the location where the Delivery Services will be performed, including, without limitation, any required assembly, installation and/or other work required in connection with the performance of the Delivery Services. You are responsible for obtaining any required approvals, permissions, permits, and variances necessary related to the Delivery Services. South Loop Loft  and its providers of the Delivery Services make no recommendation, representation, or warranty regarding the use or location of the Products, including the surface on which they are installed. You acknowledge and agree that you have not relied on any statement made by any of the foregoing parties in determining the use or location of the Products. You assume all risk, including any risk of relocation or removal, arising from the use or location of the Products. You will follow all instructions and warnings relating to the Products and will ensure that all persons who use the Products do the same.

Except As Expressly Provided In Our Return Policy The Products And The Fees Paid By You For The Products And/Or Delivery Services Are Non-Returnable And Non-RefundabLE

INTERNATIONAL WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY

South Loop Loft is pleased to offer international shipping to any destination worldwide. Our experienced team can assist you with bringing your order home or delivering it to loved ones anywhere around te globe.International Shipping quotes may take several days to obtain from our partners. 

Please note that shipments outside the US may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Please contact your respective customs office for further information about specific duties and taxes for your country. In addition, we are required by law to disclose the full value of package contents and cannot alter the value of your invoice or receipt.

LOCAL DELIVERY

South Loop Loft can provide Local White Glove Delivery for furniture + larger items in the Chicago and Surrounding areas through Third Party Delivery Providers; rates begin at $200.  Local messenger services are also available for smaller and medium sized goods with rates beginning at $95.  Delivery Invoices must be paid prior to the item going out for Delivery.  Responsibility of the goods transfers to the Delivery provider at the time of pickup from our showroom. If expedited delivery is needed, rates may vary and additional fees may apply. To determine eligibility, simply select local delivery at checkout and enter your postal code.

FURNITURE DELIVERIES:

Please note the measurements of the furniture you intend to purchase as well as all entry, doorways, staircases, access points, etc. for delivery to ensure the item will not only fit in your space, but have enough clearance to reach the room its intended for. 

Rural areas may have reduced delivery windows due to limited routes and may take longer than usual. 

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure items will fit inside entry points upon delivery of the item. South Loop Loft  will not be held responsible if the piece does not fit in the buyer’s home.

All items must be inspected upon delivery and provide a signature upon receipt. A bill of lading must be signed and serves as confirmation that the order has been inspected and approved. Any damage discovered must be noted on the bill of lading. All damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

FED EX + UPS SHIPPING 

Items that are eligible for shipping via UPS or FedEx will be mailed within 5 - 7  business days from payment. Items will be insured and will be shipped as Signature Required upon Delivery, unless otherwise noted by the customer.

Please understand that delays in shipments via USPS, Fed Ex or UPS are not the fault of South Loop Loft. If you would like to ensure an item arrives by a certain date, we will assist with expedited delivery.  Expedited Delivery will incur additional charges; to be charged to the Purchaser. 

Items that are Returned to us due to lack of signature upon arrival or incorrect delivery addresses, will be re-charged a Shipping Fee in order to re-ship. Items that are lost in the mail or stolen following delivery are not the responsibility of South Loop Loft, nor can we be held liable for replacing the item. We will happily assist in filing a claim with the Mail Provider. Clients are responsible for any insurance deductibles involved in an insurance claim.

LOCAL PICKUP

Goods purchased locally are available for pickup from our showroom or warehouse and must be picked up in 7 days from the commitment of the sale. Pick up hours are Monday - Friday 10-6 pm and 11-4pm on Saturday, for items located at our Showroom.  Clients must coordinate with our team for the pickup of the item, so we can confirm its location. Items located at our Warehouse require an appointment for pickup; within the hours of Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm.  Purchased items left at South Loop Loft over 7 business days without payment for additional services will be assessed a daily storage fee of $25  per item per day, billable upon pickup. Items left over 30 Calendar days will become the property of South Loop Loft, with no credits or refunds issued.  Customers take responsibility for item condition at the point of pick-up. 

South Loop Loft is not responsible to assist clients with local pickups; clients choosing Local Pickup fully indemnify South Loop loft of any damage or injury  that may occur during the pickup, loading and self delivery. 

STORAGE SERVICES

If a client needs a purchase stored; South Loop Loft may be able to provide short term storage. Customers will be charged a relocation fee + a monthly storage fee that is dependent on the size and nature of the item.  Please contact our team for further information. Items that have not been released for delivery or pickup; due to the clients lack of confirmation of a delivery address will incur storage fees after 14 days from purchase; storage fees must be paid prior to the delivery being released. 

ADDITIONAL TERMS + DAMAGED GOODS

South Loop Loft is not responsible for damage, theft, loss or otherwise that occurs after the item has been purchased.  South Loop Loft is not responsible for damage, theft, loss or otherwise that occurs as a result of shipping or White Glove Delivery. South Loop Loft is not responsible to refund, restore or replace inventory that may experience damage, theft, loss or otherwise as a result of White Glove Shipping, Ground Shipping through Fed Ex, UPS or USPS, Local Third Party Delivery Providers or South Loop Loft staff assisting with load in or pick up. South Loop Loft will assist in coordinating shipping as a service to our clients but the Third Party Delivery Providers bear full responsibility for the items. By completing a purchase, the client is responsible for any insurance deductibles related to filing an insurance claim.

If using a third-party receiver, clients acknowledge the receiving party takes full responsibility for the condition of pieces at the point of delivery if no defects are documented directly with the carrier. On request, customers may also coordinate their own shipping directly with the carrier of their choice by making all arrangements for pick-up and packaging requirements. Carriers arranged by customers take responsibility for item condition at the point of purchase.

INSPECTION AT DELIVERY 

We suggest that all clients fully inspect their item at the time of delivery and before the delivery providers leave the home. In the rare event that an item arrives damaged, please call our showroom immediately so we can begin the claim process. In order for us to assist in a resolution and file a claim, we will need to receive detailed photos within 48 hours. Please also take photos of the damage and shipping material and keep the original shipping packaging. South Loop Loft will file a formal claim with the Third Party White Glove Delivery Provider. South Loop Loft is not responsible to provide refunds for goods damaged, lost or stolen by Third Party Providers.
