A rare and important ‘Bridge’ floor lamp by Severin Hansen, an iconic Danish design from the 1950s. Crafted for Haslev Møbelsnedkeri, this piece features a beautifully stained beech wood base and stem, accented with brass details. The lamp’s slender, adjustable arm extends gracefully from its sturdy tripod legs, which house a convenient foot-operated switch. The hand-folded paper shade by Le Klint adds an artisanal quality, offering warm, diffused light.
In the 1950s, Severin Hansen and Haslev Møbelsnedkeri forged a partnership that defined mid-century Danish modernism. Hansen, honored with the prestigious Lunning Prize in 1957, brought his award-winning vision to Haslev, creating iconic pieces like the 'Bridge' floor lamp.
