Blue Metal Ski Holder Sculpture, France 1950s
Blue Metal Ski Holder Sculpture, France 1950s
A 1950s French sculpture constructed with metal and painted a vibrant blue hue. This piece features hollow rectangular blocks at varying heights arranged in artful tiers. It was sourced from a ski lodge in central France designed by Charlotte Perriand; we believe this piece was used as a rack for holding skis. The hollow base allowed the snow to melt off the skis onto the ground. This piece makes a fabulous tabletop sculpture perfect for displaying dried flowers and branches. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1950s.
