Mid Century French Coffee Table with Abstract Gold Relief
A vintage Brutalist French coffee table featuring an artisanal pine wood base. The table top is unique thanks to a pressed gilt geometric design; which is reminiscent of gilt ceramics by French Artist George Pelletier.
We selected this table in the South of France and estimate its age to be from the 1960's. The mix of materials- sturdy, pure pine wood paired with an abstract modernist art to the top struck us as uncommon, unique and a fantastic example of mid century French design.
This piece has a pressed green metal tabletop with an oxidized finish meant to emulate ceramic.
