French Sheepskin + Rope Accent Chair Attributed to Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet, 1950s
A 1950s French accent chair attributed to Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet. Crafted from solid wood, the frame features softly curved arms with spherical details and contoured block legs, accented by a woven rope backrest. The seat is upholstered in natural, luxurious chocolate and ivory sheepskin, offering a perfect blend of softness and comfort.
Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet became known for their design ethos which favored bringing accessible materials, such as their signature use of rope cord, to the high design world. Their rustic style evolved as a rejection of the Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels of 1925, which they perceived as exclusive to the wealthy elite.
