Belgian Oak + Slate Coffee Table, 1970s
A Belgian oak and slate coffee table from the 1970s, generous in scale measuring at 44 inches across, the round form is defined by a solid oak base with a warm, deeply grained surface.
The substantial slate top introduces a contrasting note—cool, matte, and naturally varied—its broad oak supports create a sense of weight while an open circular stretcher brings rhythm and visual lightness beneath the top.
It has the presence to anchor a generous seating arrangement without overwhelming the room. A piece that feels equally at home in a relaxed living space or a more considered interior—chosen as much for its material presence as its function.
