$6,200.00

A stunning Italian console table designed by Pierluigi Giordani (1924-2011) and produced by Pozzi in the 1950s. This table features a sculptural cherry wood base with elegantly curved, tapered legs, patinated brass sabots and a center stretcher. It has a Rosa Del Portogallo marble tabletop with an elegant beveled edge and painterly veining in a range of pink, gray and white hues. The tabletop is elevated above the base with four curved supports and brass bumpers, which mirror the splayed legs. Unsigned. Sourced in Italy, 1950s.

Pierluigi Giordani (1924-2011) was an Italian architect and designer, whose pieces are sought after in part because he limited his productions to mostly private commissions. This was a way to maintain his avant-garde vision and signified a refusal to replicate on an industrial scale. This piece was one of those commissions and one of a kind.
