Danish Oak + Ceramic Tile Low Console + Mirror Set Attributed to Erik Wørts, 1970s
The ceramic tilework is what first draws you to this Danish console and mirror set from the 1970s. Attributed to Erik Wørts, both pieces pair warm oak with small glazed tiles, creating a matching design that feels especially complete when the two are placed together.
Across the top of the console, the tiles form a dense grid of burgundy, rust, ochre, olive, and brown. Each varies slightly in color and glaze, giving the surface an almost mosaic-like quality. The same tiles run vertically along either side of the mirror, a detail that immediately connects the two pieces.
Two drawers are tucked beneath the tiled top, their fronts integrated into the surrounding woodwork without visible hardware. The straightforward frame continues below with squared legs, keeping the focus on the oak and ceramic surfaces.
The unusually low proportions are part of what makes the set so interesting. Together, the console and mirror create a distinctive arrangement for an entryway, bedroom, or living space, while the console can also stand on its own as a low table.
It's a particularly good example of the way Danish furniture of the period brought ceramics and woodworking together in pieces made for everyday use.

Our White Glove service includes delivery inside the home (including one flight of stairs). Once the shippers are in your region, they will contact you beforehand to provide the delivery day and time window. Standard lead time is 3-5 weeks.
