Framed Mexican Abstract Lithograph by David Alfaro Siqueiros, 1970s

$2,400.00

A framed lithograph by Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros from the 1970s, capturing the energy and expressive force of his abstract compositions. Rendered in vibrant turquoise, pink, and black hues, the work balances movement and intensity through bold color and dynamic form. A minimalist blonde wood frame with a crisp white mat provides a contrast, allowing the artwork’s layered expression to take focus.

Signed by Siqueiros in the lower right corner and marked “E/E 1970,” the piece reflects the artist’s continued exploration of abstraction and visual rhythm. A work for a contemporary interior, it brings a sense of color, history, and modernist presence to the space it inhabits.

David Alfaro Siqueiros was a Mexican social realist painter, best known for his large public murals. His works often incorporated limited color ranges and compositional movement, with a focus on the present political climate. Some of his most famous murals were commissioned by Edsel Ford in Detroit and the Rockefellers in New York City. One of Los Angeles's most iconic public works of art, ‘La América Tropical’ at a cultural center for Californians of Mexican descent, was also painted by David Alfaro Siqueiros.
