French Art Deco Credenza with Curved Front, 1940s
A French Art Deco credenza from the 1940s, crafted in ash, the cabinet is composed of broad, uninterrupted surfaces that allow the character of the timber to take prominence.
The grain moves softly across the façade, creating subtle variation within the form. Gentle curves at the apron and side supports temper the rectilinear silhouette, introducing a sense of movement without disturbing its balance.
A keyed central lock provides access to the interior, preserving a detail of its original functionality while reinforcing the cabinet’s sense of permanence. Inside, shelving offers practical storage concealed behind the clean frontage. Whether used in a dining room, study, or living space, the credenza brings order without drawing attention to itself, allowing its proportions and craftsmanship to shape the room.
