French Artisan-Made Iron Potence Wall Light, 1960s
Artisan-made in France in the 1960s, this iron potence light captures the essence of mid-century industrial design. A single elongated arm extends into space—bent at sharp angles, its reach both functional and sculptural. The hand-forged iron carries a matte, time-softened blackened finish, worn gently along the joints and fittings.
Mounted to the wall with simple bracketed hardware, the arm pivots outward in a long, graceful sweep. At its end, a slender socket holds an exposed bulb, casting focused, atmospheric light. Ideal above a reading chair, over a console, or as a minimalist alternative to a pendant.
