French Ceramic Floor Lamp by Guillerme et Chambron for Votre Maison, 1970s

$6,800.00

A French floor lamp from the 1970s by Guillerme et Chambron for Votre Maison, built in solid oak, where craftsmanship and functional design meet with unmistakable warmth.

Three open tiers, each inset with polychrome earthenware tiles by Bolesław Danikowski, introduce rhythm and colour throughout the structure. Rich with geometric pattern and finished variation, the ceramic surfaces transform what could have been simple shelving into a series of small compositions, celebrating the dialogue between wood and clay.

Above, the original silhouette is completed with a custom sage green and butter yellow silk shade, designed by South Loop Loft and inspired by the shades that traditionally accompanied this model. Its softly gathered form diffuses the light with a warm glow while echoing the playful, organic character of the base below.

More than a floor lamp, the piece functions as both lighting and furniture. The integrated shelves offer space for books, ceramics, or collected objects, while the sculptural profile creates a focal point within the room.

Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron, both trained at the École Boulle, created work grounded in authenticity, balance, and craft—now synonymous with French 20th-century design.
