French Ceramic Table Lamp by Raphaël Giarrusso for Accolay, 1960s

$3,900.00

A French ceramic table lamp by Raphaël Giarrusso for Accolay, created in the 1960s.

The form rises with a sense of movement. Narrow at the neck and widening through the body, the silhouette feels organic rather than symmetrical, shaped by hand and intended to be experienced from every angle. The surface is finished in a richly textured metallic glaze, layered with tones of bronze, gold, and charcoal that catch the light differently throughout the day.

Around the center, carved and pierced motifs create a decorative band. Small jewel-like accents are embedded within the pattern, introducing moments of color and reflection against the rough, volcanic texture of the clay.

Topped with a simple linen shade, the lamp balances sculptural presence with function. When illuminated, the warm tones of the ceramic body deepen, highlighting the complexity of the glaze and the hand-worked surface.

Whether placed on a console, side table, or bedside, it contributes more than illumination; it introduces a layer of material richness that shapes the atmosphere around it.
