French ‘Fleur de Fer’ Coffee Table by Maurice Barilone for Roche Bobois

$3,800.00

The ‘Fleur de Fer’ coffee table by Maurice Barilone for Roche Bobois transforms raw steel into architectural poetry. A thick sheet is torch-cut and stretched into angular planes, each edge alive with the marks of fire and hand. Its verdigris finish deepens the play of shadow and texture, giving the form both gravity and movement. A new custom smoked glass top sits squarely on its frame.

Maurice Barilone’s work is rooted in the belief that design must “reveal the element in every object that brings it alive.” A non-conformist with an unerring passion for his art, Barilone has created a number of sculptural collections during his 30-year collaboration with Roche Bobois, including the celebrated Kyoto range and Murano tables. The Fleur de Fer belongs to this lineage of bold experimentation—where material, gesture, and utility converge.
