A 1938 drawing on paper by Charlotte Henschel (1905–1985), an artist aligned with the New School of Paris. Trained at the Académie Ranson, Henschel moved between figuration and abstraction, her work marked by lyrical precision and an interest in symbolic form.
This line-based composition—at once minimal and emotive—belongs to the art of her Série Amina, a body of work exploring esoteric symbolism and stylized figuration. Similar works are held in the collections of the Musée de Beauvais and Cahors.
