French Maple + Rush Accent Chair, 1940s - 2 Available
A French accent chair from the 1940s, defined by an unusually fluid approach to bentwood construction.
Formed from maple, the chair is built around long, continuous lengths of curved wood that sweep from the back toward the seat, creating looping arms with an almost drawn quality. Rather than breaking into separate structural elements, the maple follows a sustained arc, giving the chair a sense of movement and softness.
The rush seat and back introduce a natural contrast to the warm maple, their woven texture grounding the sculptural frame.
It’s the arms that define the piece. Their elongated curves extend outward and return toward the body of the chair, creating a profile that feels closer to a gesture than conventional furniture construction.

White Glove Delivery
Our White Glove service includes delivery inside the home (including one flight of stairs). Once the shippers are in your region, they will contact you beforehand to provide the delivery day and time window. Standard lead time is 3-5 weeks.
Ensure a clear path and be available to sign for the delivery. The team cannot move existing furniture. Rural deliveries may experience longer wait times due to limited routing. Alert us if there are additional stairs, COI requirements or other unique circumstances.
Domestic Shipping
In-stock inventory ships via UPS, USPS, or FedEx within 5-10 business days (excluding holidays). Rates are calculated based on the full order value, size and region.
