French Modernist Brass + Opaline Glass Chandelier, 1960s
Composed of brass and opaline glass, a French Modernist chandelier from the 1960s.
The fixture is defined by a warm brass structure, its arms extending in a radial form from a central, finely shaped body. Five opaline glass globes soften the geometry, their rounded silhouettes and milky surfaces diffusing light with a warm, atmospheric quality.
The elongated brass stem draws the eye upward, while the low, spreading arrangement of the arms creates a broad visual presence overhead. The contrast between polished metal and luminous glass gives the chandelier a distinctly mid-century character.
