A French armchair from the 1940s, in the manner of Charles Dudouyt.
The frame is carved in oak, with turned supports at the arms and legs that give the structure a steady rhythm. At the back, a central carved medallion sits within a simple open frame, becoming the focal point.
The oak carries a deep, warm tone, with visible grain and a slightly softened finish. The seat is handwoven in rush, introducing a lighter, more textural contrast against the wood.
Compact and grounded, it works easily at a desk or as an occasional chair.
