This 1960s Brutalist metal wall mirror was handcrafted by French artisan Irena Jaworska, a protégé of the Line Vautrin School. The gilt sunburst frame, featuring fiery red talosel inlays, surrounds a round antiqued mirror, creating a dynamic interplay of color and texture.

Line Vautrin invented talosel in the 1940s, blending glass and resin with metal powders to create a material with a unique texture and color depth. Jaworska’s metal work embodies the mid-20th-century revival of artisanal and bespoke craftsmanship, seamlessly integrating tradition with innovative techniques.
