French Verdigris Bronze + Black Marble Wall-Mounted Console, 1940s
A 1940s verdigris bronze console sourced in the South of France, topped with a honed black marble slab threaded with rich ochre and ivory veining. The base is formed from hand-forged scrolls—three slender supports that arc downward and meet at the floor.
The verdigris patina softens the bronze, giving the piece the depth and character of a centuries-old façade. At just under 30 inches wide, the scale is ideal for an entryway, hallway, or as an accent beneath a mirror.
