French Wood + Rush Armchair in the Manner of Charlotte Perriand, 1940s - 2 Available

$4,400.00

A French armchair from the 1940s, crafted in solid wood with a handwoven natural rush seat and backrest. The frame rises in rectilinear lines, softened by the warmth of its material and the rhythm of the woven pattern. Angular arms extend outward with rush wrapping at the rests, while the seat and back form a geometric motif, radiating from the center in four directions.

Rooted in the rustic modernism of mid-century France, the chair embodies the spirit of designers like Charlotte Perriand, where simplicity, craft, and material honesty converge.
