An Italian Art Nouveau bench from the 1910s–1920s, crafted in solid wood with richly figured burl panels and hand-painted floral detailing throughout.
The silhouette is structured and architectural, softened by stylized floral motifs running across the backrest in warm gilt and painted tones. The influence of Viennese Secessionist design is especially visible in the balance between geometry and decorative detail.
The burl wood carries a deep tonal variation throughout, giving warmth and movement to the grounded silhouette. Tall corner posts frame the structure, while the leather seat introduces another layer of texture against the polished wood.
Beneath the seat, concealed storage compartments reflect the practical detailing often found in early 20th century European furniture, where utility was worked quietly into the design.
Though substantial in form, the bench carries a distinctly collected feel—as though made for a particular interior. Placed within an entryway, beside a dining table, or layered into a hallway, it functions as both seating and decorative object.

Our White Glove service includes delivery inside the home (including one flight of stairs). Once the shippers are in your region, they will contact you beforehand to provide the delivery day and time window. Standard lead time is 3-5 weeks.
Ensure a clear path and be available to sign for the delivery. The team cannot move existing furniture. Rural deliveries may experience longer wait times due to limited routing. Alert us if there are additional stairs, COI requirements or other unique circumstances.

In-stock inventory ships via UPS, USPS, or FedEx within 5-10 business days (excluding holidays). Rates are calculated based on the full order value, size and region.
