Directional form and controlled illumination define this 1950s Italian sconce, attributed to Stilnovo.
The form is spare, almost graphic, a linear light source set against a minimal support, designed to extend rather than occupy. It can be mounted to the wall or ceiling, shifting its role depending on placement: above a painting, it becomes a focused wash of light; overhead, it reads as a subtle architectural line, tracing the surface it illuminates.
