Italian 'Cloche' Table Lamp by De Pas, D'Urbino & Lomazzi for Sirrah, 1982

$1,400.00 $2,000.00

Designed by De Pas, D'Urbino & Lomazzi for Sirrah in 1982, the Cloche table lamp is a softly illuminated acrylic diffuser that rises from a generously gathered fabric base, creating a contrast between structured geometry and tactile softness.

The materials work together to diffuse light with warmth, while giving the lamp a distinctly architectural silhouette.

Rather than relying on ornament, the Cloche is defined by proportion. The cylindrical diffuser casts an even, ambient glow, while the upholstered base introduces a sense of weight and texture that grounds the piece. The result is both playful and refined, characteristic of Italian design in the early 1980s.

Whether placed on a bedside table, console, or reading corner, the lamp creates atmosphere as much as illumination.

Jonathan De Pas (1932-1991), Donato D’Urbino (1935-), and Paolo Lomazzi (1936-) are Italian designers who began working together in 1966. They are best known for their unconventional pop art designs, many of which are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris among others. Their most iconic pieces include the Joe Sofa, 1970 and the “Blow” armchair, 1969.
