Italian Glass Top Desk Attributed to Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, 1950s

$4,600.00

An Italian desk from the 1950s, attributed to Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, distinguished by a thick cast glass top that appears to float above a slender blackened metal frame.

Cylindrical legs capped with subtle brass sabots ground the composition, while an integrated mahogany side unit finished in rich tones with a contrasting light drawer front introduces both visual balance and practical storage.

DIMENSIONS: 51"W x 31.5"D x 32"H

ORIGIN: Italy

PERIOD: 1950s

MATERIALS: Iron,Glass,Mahogany,Brass

CONDITION: This desk remains in very good vintage condition. The glass top shows light surface wear consistent with age and handling, along with one small chip along the underside that does not affect stability or everyday use. The wood elements have been fully refinished by our in-house restoration team to refresh the surface while honoring the original design intent. Drawer slides have been carefully adjusted for smoother operation, protective bumpers have been added, and a new interior shelf has been constructed to enhance functionality. The structure is solid and the piece presents exceptionally well overall.
