Italian Terrazzo Top Coffee Table with Iron Base, 1950s
An Italian terrazzo top coffee table from the 1950s, the circular top is composed of resin embedded with irregular fragments of richly colored marble, forming a terrazzo surface that feels both organic and architectural.
No two patterns are alike. Soft creams, deep greens, warm terracottas, and veined stone are suspended within the polished resin, creating a composition that shifts subtly with changing light and perspective.
The wrought iron base provides balance through contrast. Twisted detailing traces the perimeter of the frame, while gently curved legs and a circular stretcher lend the piece a sense of lightness.
