Monumental French Pine Adjustable Swing Arm Sconce, 1960s
Standing nearly five feet tall, a monumental French pine swing arm sconce from the 1960s.
The sconce combines a substantial pine wall-mounted frame with an articulated swing arm, allowing the shade to extend outward and shift position within the room. A simple white linen shade softens the structure, balancing the warmth and visual weight of the wood.
Current photographs do not convey its scale; in person, the nearly five-foot height transforms it from a conventional wall light into a commanding element.
Mounted beside a bed, it creates a dramatic vertical anchor. In a living space or hallway, the extended arm introduces both movement and scale, functioning as much as a sculptural element as it does a source of light.
Sold and priced individually.
