Set of 13 German Modular Ivory Sconces by Hoffmeister, 1960s

$10,800.00

A modular wall installation of 13 sconces, produced by Hoffmeister in Germany during the 1960s. Each fixture is formed in molded ivory plastic, shaped as a hexagon with its surface folded into sculptural planes. A single bulb punctuates the center, scattering subtle highlights across the concave form.

Nine sconces are fully functional, fitted with sockets and wiring, while four are decorative only—retaining the visual geometry but without electrical fittings. Together they assemble into a rhythmic field of repeating hexagons, their sculptural surfaces glowing with soft diffusion when lit. A striking wall composition, both luminous and architectural.

DIMENSIONS: 14"W x 3.5"D x 14"H

ADDITIONAL DIMENSIONS: Backplate: 3"W x 3"H

ORIGIN: Germany

PERIOD: 1960s

MATERIALS: Plastic

CONDITION: Great vintage condition. Nine sconces are wired and operational. Four are decorative only, without sockets. Light wear and small surface marks consistent with age and use. These sconces have been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists. Each wired sconce accepts one E26 light bulb.
