After establishing himself in Paris as a designer of fashion boutiques, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, he met Sergio Terzani in 1985 and soon joined Terzani, where they developed lighting guided by the philosophy of _la luce pensata_—"thinking about light."

His first design for Terzani, Antinea, paired wrought iron, Murano glass, and pietra serena sandstone, reflecting his appreciation for timeless materials and craftsmanship. This sensibility continued in later collections such as Tresor, introduced in 2007, whose shimmering metal discs evoke hidden treasure while transforming light into an element of warmth, movement, and character.
