Vintage French Three-Panel Folding Screen with Antiqued Mirror Glass - 2 Available

$6,800.00

Sourced in Paris, a 20th century French three-panel folding screen with richly mottled antiqued mirror glass panels.

Set within richly stained wood frames, the antiqued glass panels become the focus. Layered with painterly washes of blue, amber, and smoky gold, the surface recalls the depth of verre églomisé, though handled with a softer, more abstract sensibility. Light shifts across the panels unevenly, catching fragments of reflection beneath the color and creating a surface that feels closer to painting than mirror.

The contrast between the warmth of the timber and the fluidity of the glass gives the piece its balance. Used as a divider, it creates intimacy without fully enclosing a space. Placed behind seating, it introduces height and reflection. Left partially folded, it becomes sculptural—less a functional screen than an architectural element within the room.

Sold and priced individually.
