Vintage Italian Wood Pedestal with Stepped Base - 2 Available
An Italian wood pedestal from the twentieth century, with a vivid orange finish that brings an unexpected energy to its classical architectural form.
The tall, square column rises from a stepped plinth, its broad, uninterrupted sides drawing the eye toward a projecting top. Closely layered moldings ground the base, while a gently curved profile beneath the upper edge gives the piece the suggestion of a small capital. These details create rhythm at either end, leaving the center spare.
The orange finish carries across the entire structure, catching light along the edges and deepening toward red in shadow. Its subtle sheen emphasizes the flat planes and crisp corners, while small marks of age remain visible across the surface.
An inset mirrored top introduces a quieter detail. Held within a broad orange border, it reflects the underside of an object placed above it, offering another view of a ceramic vessel, bronze, or piece of glass. The reflection adds depth to the display without interrupting the pedestal’s strong outline.

Our White Glove service includes delivery inside the home (including one flight of stairs). Once the shippers are in your region, they will contact you beforehand to provide the delivery day and time window. Standard lead time is 3-5 weeks.
Ensure a clear path and be available to sign for the delivery. The team cannot move existing furniture. Rural deliveries may experience longer wait times due to limited routing. Alert us if there are additional stairs, COI requirements or other unique circumstances.

In-stock inventory ships via UPS, USPS, or FedEx within 5-10 business days (excluding holidays). Rates are calculated based on the full order value, size and region.
